Avangrid Appoints New People & Organization (P&O) Team

ORANGE, Conn. — October 9, 2024 — Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a leading sustainable energy company and a member of the Iberdrola Group, announced today the appointment John O’Neil as Senior Vice President of People and Organization, Khadijah “Kay” Johnson promoted to Vice Present of Reward, Anna OConnell promoted to Vice President, Business Partners, Paul Visconti promoted to Vice President of HR Operations and Rick Bruno to serve as Interim Vice President of Health and Safety. All positions are effective immediately.

John O’Neil has been with the Iberdrola Group for more than 25 years and began his Avangrid career in Rochester, NY as Executive Director of Human Resources Performance and Governance. In 2016, he led the HR integration of Iberdrola USA and UIL to form Avangrid. Soon after completion of the integration, John was promoted to Vice President of HR Performance and Governance, a position he has held for the past nine years.
Khadijah “Kay” Johnson has transitioned from her current role as Vice President, HR Operations and Employee Experience, into the new role of Vice President, Rewards. Kay retains oversight of Avangrid’s employee experience. This is a new role she will add to her already impressive career progression at Avangrid which includes leading the HUB, HR Systems, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and other critical areas. Kay has been instrumental in the positive evolution of Avangrid’s P&O function.
Anna O’Connell has been promoted to Vice President, Business Partners, and will also lead Employee Relations and Labor Relations. Previously Avangrid’s Director of Labor Relations and Senior Director Business Partner, Anna brings a deep portfolio of experience to this position and will be instrumental in driving further growth for Avangrid.
Paul Visconti is promoted to Vice President of HR Operations helping to oversee Talent Acquisition, HUB Operations, and P&O systems. Currently Senior Director, Total Health Paul has been instrumental in the harmonization of our pension plan offerings and for developing an award-winning 401k plan for employees. Most recently he has been driving our Total Health benefit programs.
Rick Bruno will serve Interim Vice President of Health & Safety. Rick is highly experienced in Health and Wellbeing, and was previously a senior member of the Health & Safety team prior to the Wellbeing function being integrated into the P&O team.
